Laughter, Joy and Purpose

How quickly the days run into each other to string together weeks, that turn into months!  I can still feel the long awaited anticipation of meeting Carson last summer and here he is, 8 months old and reaching new milestones every day.  He began sitting up solo this week which meant he graduated to taking a bath with big sister.  She was so excited to play with him in the water and share toys with him.  He also began crawling this week, but Carson is too clever to be caught on camera in the act so I have no hard proof.  You will just have to take my word for it.
Siena has begun conquering her own mountains.  She has quickly advanced from completing 24 piece puzzles to 100 piece puzzles and that is her preferred activity, rain or shine.  I think she just likes the time with Mommy or Daddy.

Our dear friend Scott Young said the best sound in the world is the laughter of a child.  It brings tears of joy to my eyes to hear my kids laugh together and sadness that Scott can't hear them today since he is greeting people in heaven so I am soaking in their laughter for him.  Each day with them brings more laughter to me than I have ever known.

Kurt leaves Sunday morning on his very first (of many, I am sure) medical mission trips.  The team above from our church is headed to the mountains of Guatemala for a week.  They will be serving the health needs of the people who don't typically get to see a doctor, bringing toys to children, playing soccer games with the youth and assisting in the construction of a church.  We are so honored that God has opened this door and plans to use Kurt's skills to act as His hands and feet in the Earth.   Pray for his safety and God's will to be accomplished and His word to be heard throughout the nations.
