Most weeks around here are mundane and pass by without much thought. But this week we had small things that made for a fun week. First of all, Carson started rocking back and forth on his hands and knees and turned 7 months. His sister started walking at 9 months but since every child is so different, so all bets are off, but we are ready for anything.
Then I decided I would ATTEMPT to put Siena's hair up in pigtails. I didn't attempt this before for many reasons (Time, lack of practice since I didn't have Barbie dolls or long hair myself, concern that she would rip it out immediately) but she loved the way her hair looked and enjoyed picking out the ponytail holder colors. Is there anything MORE important to a 3 year old?
Yes, those are gardening gloves because she was also Daddy's big helper landscaping on Saturday.
But perhaps the most entertaining was an 80s dance party that we attended Friday night to benefit Cystic Fibrosis. A quick internet search for ideas and trip to the local thrift store and this is what we came up with.
This picture DOES NOT to justice to Kurt's 'flock of seagulls' hair do that we came up with. We had a ball with our friends, busting out our 80s trivia (Who knows what the very first music video on MTV was?) and laughing at how silly things were just 30 years ago. What could our kids possibly say about our current generation?!?!?
All four of y'all are so stinking cute! Miss my Knolls!
